Using the latest Dufour 37 & 41, each yacht features one “Owner Member” and three “Sailing Members,” allowing ample time on the water for everyone.
Unlike many “Boat Clubs,” we offer straight forward membership without complex tiers or hidden fees beyond the monthly payment.
The “Owner Member” finances the yacht and bears no extra costs beyond that.
For a monthly subscription, “Sailing Members” can enjoy shared access to the yacht without a significant upfront investment or the ongoing costs of ownership.
Universal Yachting handles all maintenance and upkeep of the yacht, including berthing and insurance fees.
Every member is guaranteed 30 – 35 days of sailing during the main season (March – October), plus plenty of opportunities for last-minute sailing in the off-season, subject to availability.
Based in Mercury Yacht Harbour on the River Hamble this is the ideal location with easy access into the Solent.
Being an RYA Training Centre we are able to offer instruction at all skill levels, as well as being well-equipped to provide excellent service and reliable support.
Use is restricted to a small number of members who naturally take on a sense of ownership of the boat even as sailing members.
A 3 day induction course is included and once familiar with the yacht there are no check in or check out procedures.
Turn around periods are Monday & Friday mornings when the yacht will be fully cleaned and prepared for you to go sailing.
Yachts are fully coded for charter with all the required safety equipment onboard.
Bedding and galley essentials will be provided, so all you need to bring are your clothes and some food.
Throughout the year we organise a number of events so you can connect with other Yacht Share members and Dufour owners locally.
Whether as an owner looking to offset some of the overheads or an individual considering boat ownership this is great way to experience sailing without many of the associated costs or hassle.
Dufour 37 – £1200
